The conference on “Cultural Diplomacy and Peace” was held at the Foreign Affairs Circolo in Rome, the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Organized by Ars Pace and planned by Vice President Hon. Monica Baldi, who delivered the closing remarks, the conference was held.
The event had the patronage of the European Parliament Former Members Association, the Union of Italian Honorary Consuls, the United Nations University for Peace, and the support of the newspaper “Il Patto Sociale-Informazione Europa.”
After opening remarks by Ambassador Carlo Marsili, Honorary President of the Union of Honorary Consuls in Italy, and the President of Ars Pace, the Hon. Enrique Barón Crespo, the following speakers were present:

Hon. Cristiana Muscardini, analyst and founder of the Social Europe Group; Ambassador Ferdinando Nelli Feroci, President of the Institute of International Affairs
Roberto Savio, Representative in Italy of the UN University for Peace
During the meeting, moderated by Rai Radio 1 journalist Tiziana Di Simone, the book “SAFARI: Journey into the Life of Italians in Africa” by Hon. Muscardini, a recipient of the European Gold Medal for Merit, was presented.
Guests included prominent figures from the European Parliament, the world of culture and institutions, and the diplomatic corps, with remarks by Hon. Gianfranco Fini and Lavinia de Nicolo, President of the Association of Spouses of Employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The evening concluded with a performance by Isabella Mastroeni, on the violin, and a Vin d’Honneur offered by the award-winning Luretta Cellars, Castello di Momeliano (Piacenza).
