On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the Per Boboli Association, Ars Pace helped organize the event held in Florence, on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 6:00 PM, in the Church of Santa Felicita al Ponte Vecchio. The event was hosted by Parish Priest Don Gregorio Sierzputowski, who brought institutional greetings, along with Sara Funaro, Councilor for Welfare of the City of Florence; Stefano Casciu, Regional Director of the Museums of Tuscany; Bianca Maria Landi, Curator of the Boboli Gardens; and Mirco Rufilli, President of the Toponymy Commission of the City of Florence.
Speakers included: Eleonora Pecchioli, President “Per Boboli”; Cristina Acidini, President of AADFI; Cosimo Ceccuti, President of the “Spadolini Foundation”; Vittoria Gondi, President of the Garden Club of Florence; Maria Teresa Ceccherini Guicciardini, President of the Folco Portinari Onlus Association; Ivo Matteuzzi, former Head Gardener of the Boboli Gardens; Mara Visonà, Roberto Longhi Foundation for the Studies of Art History; and Mariella Zoppi, Architect and Urban Planner.
The closing remarks were delivered by the Hon. Monica Baldi, Vice President of EP_FMA and the Ars Pace Association.
During the evening, the book “Boboli Over the Centuries – History and Events of a Royal Garden,” published by Angelo Pontecorboli Editore, was presented. It was introduced by Mayor Dario Nardella and featured contributions from Cristina Acidini, Daniele Angelotti, Monica Baldi, Gabriele Capecchi, Maria Teresa Ceccherini Guicciardini, Alessandro Cecchi, Cosimo Ceccuti, Giorgio Galletti, Paolo Grossoni, Paola Maresca, Ivo Matteuzzi, Eleonora Pecchioli, and Mariella Zoppi.
The extraordinary musical performance by Ars Pace, performed by Andrea Ceccomori on flute and George Georgescu on cello, concluded with the enchanting music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
