In the splendid Upper Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, a universal symbol of Christianity and art, on Friday, May 12, 2023, an extraordinary concert dedicated to the “Canticle of the Creatures,” conceived by Maestro Andrea Ceccomori and accompanied by the Suonosfera Orchestra, was held. The event, organized by the Lions and Rotary Clubs of Umbria, led by Giuseppe Maria Famá, Club, aimed to raise funds for the earthquake victims of Turkey and Syria and for the Seraphic Institute of Assisi. Soprano Katia Ricciarelli was the Godmother, singing with tenor Francesco Zingariello. Numerous authorities were present, including the Mayor of Assisi and President of the Province, Stefania Proietti; and the Vice President of Ars Pace, Monica Baldi, Monica Baldi who collected the award given to Enrique Barón Crespo, President of Ars Pace (former President of the European Parliament and Chancellor of the UN University for Peace), from Monika Jakiela, President of the Universum Donna International Prize and Ambassador for Peace in the World. Also awarded: Katia Ricciarelli, for her brilliant career; Maestro and tenor Francesco Zingariello, for his splendid voice; and Maestro Andrea Ceccomori, an internationally renowned flutist of great versatility. Heartfelt thanks were extended to the Father Custodian of the Sacred Convent, Marco Moroni, and the Maestro of the Capella Musicale, Friar Peter.
